Umuntu Media, The Zimbabwean sign content deal

Umuntu Media and The Zimbabwean have today announced the signing of a strategic partnership agreement whereby the two news media companies will develop and share content across their platforms.

Cape Town, South Africa – Umuntu Media and The Zimbabwean have today announced the signing of a strategic partnership agreement whereby the two news media companies will develop and share content across their platforms.

The deal will enable Umuntu Media and The Zimbabwean to cross-market media offerings with the purpose of delivering high-quality content to the Zimbabwean and global audience.

The print media will also provide an additional advertising and marketing arm for properties, jobs and business listings. A package will consist of online advertising as well as print. It is expected that this offer will be available from 2012.

In November, Umuntu Media, which utilizes technology to build world-class digital platforms in Africa launchedwww.izimbabwe.co.zw . The Zimbabwean has both an online www.thezimbabwean.co.uk and print platform targeted at Zimbabwean audiences.

Commenting on the partnership, Johan Nel, Umuntu Media Chief Executive Officer, said:
